Add a pair of lower doors to any 72″ or taller bookshelf made by Furniture in the Raw. We have several styles in which to choose including Raised Panel in either square or a curved style, A flat panel, or Glass doors with square or curved profile.

All lower doors are sold as a set of 2 on every bookcase. Doors arrive installed on your bookcase at the 30″ fixed shelf, covering the lower section of your bookcase. You will have 1 shelf for behind the doors that is less deep than the upper shelves.
Doors are “outset” and attached to the inside portion of the face frame of your bookcase with a 6 way European adjustable concealed hinge. Outset doors utilize the same hinge but are attached to the outside frame of your bookcase. (Red River and Embassy trim bookcases will feature doors are inset due to the fluted face frame)
Our real wood bookcase doors are pre drilled for a single knob. A solid wood knob will be included. You are welcome to request “no holes” on your order if you’re unsure about the hardware.
The slab door now comes with the finger groove opening and not drilled for a knob. Our apologies for the image with the handle. We have more people request not to drill on this door option so it is now standard. We are happy to always take special requests.
Our raised panel door options have a center solid wood portion that is slightly raised. Select from our 2 most popular, the squared or curved option.
Our flat panel has its visible face flush with the front of the groove in the frame. This gives the panel an inset appearance. It’s the most economical and most popular of our doors. Our real wood interior panels beautifully take stain or can be painted. Most doors contain MDF or particle board. Not ours!
Glass doors are clear glass and we do not offer options for glass at this time. Custom glass (bubble, seeded, etc) are always available on a local level to replace the glass that comes standard with this door option.
Ordering your bookcase finished? We’ll include the finishing on your doors! As long as they’re added on at the time of purchase we’ll make sure they are finished in the same stain or paint selected and arrive installed on your bookcase.
