The Milano Double Pedestal Dining Table comes unfinished or select one of our unlimited paints and stains.  The Milano table features a contemporary boat shaped design.

It also has the Whitewood Cable Glide System, which makes adding the leaves easy. This unique leaf system is a customer favorite.  One person can easily open and close this table due to the cable glide system.  The self-storing butterfly leaves conveniently store inside this table. A butterfly leaf folds in half and stores inside the table.

The table is solid Parawood.  We never use inferior particle board.  This table is solid wood, no veneer!

Parawood is a very hard wood that makes perfect since. Now harvested for furniture manufacturing when they are 25 to 30 years old, it’s truly ‘eco-friendly’ in that the wood is harvested from a renewable source. When the latex yields become extremely low, the trees are then felled, and new trees are planted. This makes rubberwood a great option for furniture. When today’s concern is regarding renewable options, parawood is a logical, affordable choice.

Real wood, not fake wood

Real wood has a strength that stands the test of time.

Many competitor products use particle board (also called MDF) that is covered in a laminate (plastic that has a wood look). If any part of the laminate or veneer peels away, the exposed particle board will crumble. The moisture expands the particle board and is not repairable.

Furniture in the Raw only represents solid wood and real wood plywood in all its products. We never use inferior particle board. 

The finishes are the most chemically resistant finishes available.  Spills including acetone, alcohol, or even permanent marker will not damage your finished product.
