The Saddle Seat Stool is Antique Black Paint on Solid Parawood!

Saddle Seat Black Counter Stool

The Saddle Seat Stool has a comfortable curved seat design.  The solid top solid wood stool has a contemporary style. They’re sturdy and solid parawood.

Parawood grows on Malaysian plantations where it’s primary use is for latex production. In the past the trees were burned before it was discovered the beauty and hardness of this wood.

Now harvested for furniture manufacturing when they are 25 to 30 years old, it’s truly ‘eco-friendly’ in that the wood is harvested from a renewable source. New trees are planted when the latex yields become extremely low. This makes rubberwood a great option for furniture. When today’s concern is regarding renewable options, parawood is a logical, affordable choice.

Design Tips

The difference between a bar stool and a counter stool often confuses people. A bar stools has an average 30 inch seat height for a 42″ tall counter. A counter stool has an average 24 inch seat height and your counter is about 36″ tall.

Make sure that your bar stool height or counter stool will match the height of your counter, cafe or bistro table.

Just as you would space the chairs of your dining room table for ideal comfort, you should also space your bar chairs and counter stools. Bar owners try to avoid crowding too many bar stools together to keep patrons from finding an elbow in their face, and to avoid this, there is an industry standard: Allow 26 to 30 inches between the centers of each bar stool. This provides enough room for your guests and family to eat and socialize.
