Real wood, not fake wood
Real wood has a strength that stands the test of time.
We proudly use real wood unlike our competitors who use particle board (also called MDF) that is covered in a laminate (plastic that has a wood look). If any part of the laminate or veneer peels away, the exposed particle board will crumble. The moisture expands the particle board and is not repairable.
Furniture in the Raw represents real wood, built to last.
Parawood grows on Malaysian plantations where it’s primary use is latex production. The beauty and hardness for furniture was discovered to be the perfect source for this tree that was previously burned.
This “Eco Friendly” tree is harvested for furniture after the latex yields become low, in about 25 to 30 years. The parawood tree is a renewable option and a smart, affordable choice.
The Aspen Ladder Back Stool comes in counter and bar stool heights:
- 24 inch counter stools
- 30 inch bar stools
The difference between a bar stool and a counter stool often confuses people. A bar stools has an average 30 inch seat height to sit at a bar that is 42″ tall. A counter stool has an average 24 inch seat height with a 36″ tall counter.
Make sure that your bar stool height or counter stool will match the height of your counter, cafe or bistro table.
Just as you would space the chairs of your dining room table for ideal comfort, you should also space your bar chairs and counter stools. Bar owners try to avoid crowding too many bar stools together to keep patrons from finding an elbow in their face, and to avoid this, there is an industry standard: Allow 26 to 30 inches between the centers of each bar stool. This provides enough room for your guests and family to eat and socialize.
