The chest features 2 doors and 8 drawers. The drawer boxes are made of solid wood, as with the entire chest.  The 8 drawers feature English dovetail construction and smooth, whisper quiet self closing drawer glides.  The 9 step finish will last a lifetime.

Today, the main concern is sustainability. Every tree used is replaced used to make the furniture through a unique and innovative program developed with the Virginia Department of Forestry.  To date, over 1.5 million trees have been planted!  

Real wood, not fake wood like most furniture sold today

Real wood has a strength that stands the test of time.

Many competitor products use particle board (also called MDF) that is covered in a laminate (plastic that has a wood look). If any part of the laminate or veneer peels away, the exposed particle board will crumble. The moisture expands the particle board and is not repairable. 

Furniture in the Raw only represents real wood all its products. We never use inferior particle board or represent a company that uses it.  Artisan & Post uses only solid wood.
