New Furniture from Las Vegas Market 2015

New Murphy Beds, bookcases and tables coming this Spring

The January Las Vegas Market is one of the furniture industries largest events of the year. It’s one of the places I hut out current and future trends in furniture to bring back to the showrooms.

For those of you unfamiliar with Las Vegas Market is a semiannual convention of wholesale furniture buyers from all over the world. Over 50,000 people converge for this mega show. It’s a chance to view the latest in furnishings for home and office—all under one roof.

Any retail furniture owner who fails to attend Las Vegas Market is letting customers down.

So, Furniture in the Raw goes every year!

Las Vegas Market is always full of wow factor occasions for me. The latest one is a new line of Murphy Beds. We’ll have it in showrooms in early Spring.

The Clover Murphy Cabinet Bed doesn’t need to be attached to a wall like traditional wall beds. As the name suggests it is a free standing cabinet that folds out into a full size bed. It’s an amazing space savor and is made with solid wood.

It also comes with a very high end mattress. I predict this innovative new Murphy Bed will be a big hit with customers.

Reclaimed lumber furniture

While I was in Vegas, I also bought several new bedroom sets made from reclaimed lumber. One of the hottest new trends in furniture combines industrial with rustic popular.

Industrial has become popular because it uses the “reuse, recycle”. Right now furniture manufacturers are taking what we once saw as items headed for the dump and reclaiming them. The result is beautiful furniture that is both functional and attractive.

Reclaimed lumber also gives your furniture a really original, unique look. In Vegas I picked to new bedroom lines that are made from reclaimed lumber: The Maya and the Parata bedrooms.

They have an aesthetically pleasing look with hand forged metal accents.

I also discovered new designs in bookcases. These ones lean more towards the industrial look. They have metal wheels and hand forged accents that will go over very well for us.

reclaimedI am excited to take arrival on these versatile and functional bookcases. They will start to arrive in the coming month.  I’ve added more color as well.

My many customers who like the Maya line will be interested in seeing the new Maya bookcase with iron wheels. I predict the Maya bookcases will be a big hit as well.

The Maya design mixes the industrial and rustic. They are fashionable, good quality and functional. Moreover, they will look great in any room.

i always look for quality when buying for our showrooms. The Maya brand exceeds our high standards. Notable features include such things as full extension drawer glides, mortise and tendon joint. Maya line uses real wood. No particle board!

The Parata bedroom line has a look not seen elsewhere else. Parata has woven iron work and inlaid exotic woods.  Parata line truly combines beauty and quality.

Look for our new furniture online and in our showrooms in March 2015.
